Crooked Brook

I remember when I was a young cook, I dreamed of the day when I would have a custom coat ordered for me. It was a big deal to get to the point where you would deserve one ordered at  the restaurant’s expense. Normally it was saved for that big promotion to Executive Sous Chef, or in my case Chef de Cuisine. When the day came, I remember feeling so honored when a tailor from the company would come to the restaurant to get my measurements. 

When my custom coat finally arrived – boasting the logo of Tabla and my name right below it – I could not have been more honored to wear it. It was such an amazing feeling after 15 or so years working my way up. I still get that feeling of pride every time I suit up for a gig and put my Crooked Brook on.
