India Spice
One of my specialties is Indian food. Working at Tabla for 10 years under the master Floyd Cardoz himself has taught me a love for this Cuisine. This food is also notoriously difficult to find ingredients to cook with, at least good ones. This is where I go.
I met Jaypal and Gita the owners when I first moved here to Charleston. Man was I struggling to find Indian stuff before I found them. They are the most friendly, helpful and lovely people you will ever meet. They have been my go to source for Indian goods for the last 7 years.
I highly recommend going in even just to look around and ask questions. They are both a wealth of knowledge and Gita is an incredible Chef herself. She makes food there for lunchtime and to go, but also offers Indian Cooking Classes in your own home and catering.
When I am asked to cook Indian food for a party (which I love to do), this is my first stop.
