Fili-West Farms

I first personally met Nathan and his wife Ghie at the Mt. Pleasant farmers market where he has been the long standing farmer resident. I started with his eggs and found them to be some of the best eggs I had ever tried. Not to mention he also his chicken, sausage, beef from Solo Verdi and Milk from Lowcountry Creamery. Who’s Chocolate milk is Divine, BTW. As I continued to stop by every week I learned more and more about what they do and how passionate Nathan is about a lot of things but especially chicken farming.

When it came time for my 4th grade daughter to do a school SC project, she chose to explore farms in the different regions of SC. Nathan gladly said yes to helping her with the project and invited us to his farm for the grand tour. We were blown away by how well the chickens are cared for and the passion that they have for what they do.

The thing that stands out to me the most though is how hard Nathan and Ghie work to provide all their different outlets with their products at all costs. Even during the start of the Pandemic, Nathan Continued to offer his services in safe ways when nobody else could. He is one of the hardest working, determined and consistent farmers I know.
